Lucas is a special needs kitten that must wear a diaper because of neurological damage. He may have a broken tail or a damaged spine and has no bladder or bowel control. Despite this, he is energetic, sassy, and very happy to be alive!

Boarding for Gold
I just found out it is going to cost 30 dollars to board Lucas, PER DAY! I have to leave for one week in August. That is going to cost 210 dollars PLUS 100 dollars for the cat sitter! I am freaking out!
oh, i'm so sorry, but I somewhat understand, having 1 dog and 2 cats and having to make care arrangements for a 9 day trip in September. If we were on the same side of the country, we could have helped each other out.
That is outrageous. Do they think because it is Hawaii they can charge you more than they do on the mainland for boarding? Do you know anyone that might be able to housesit while you're away?
I dont know if it would be close or not, but what about the Boo Boo Zoo you mentioned in a previous posts, do they board for special needs animals? Or maybe they would be for Lucas?? Just a thought. He is SO precious! And seems to know that every thing you do is to help him. I love the new pictures of him checking out the goodies!

Actually, that's reasonable for boarding... and I'm in Manhattan.
